NRL 3rd Game of the 2022 Season

Well the Eels and the Raiders certainly made it hard to get a perfect round last week. 4 people nearly got a perfect card but:

Well, the Eels (downed by Sharks) and the Raiders (downed by the Cowboys) certainly made it hard to get a perfect round last week.

Both picked in-correctly by 88% of tips.

4 people though, nearly got a perfect card,    

• Lachlan stayed loyal to the Eels who were mauled by the Sharks in the closing minutes.

• Kaye (Titan Tragic) could have had the bonus points if she had stayed loyal to the winning Queensland trio. A long time since all 3 QLD teams won in the same round.

• Mark (March Magic) also did not stay loyal to the Tigers but was let down by the Parra Eels.

• Louise (Crouching Tiger) who did not stay loyal to her Tigers, which paid off, but was let down by the Raiders.

The next 5 players got 12 points which was not too bad.

The news of the week however is that Dan and Tom went together to the NRL game (Titans Vs Warriors) and both came down with covid as a result. 

The Titans did get up in a close game, so at least they were happy on Saturday.

• Local Derby 1 Dragons & Sharks

• Local Derby 2 Broncos at home to the Cowboys

• Panthers Vs Knights

• Raider Vs Titans

• Rabbits and Roosters both having a sloppy start to the season

NRL 2nd Games of the 2022 Season

Hi to all family and friends!

Well, we made it through round 1 with a few surprises. Panthers and the Knights came out firing & the Titains gave the Eels a scare.

It was good to see a bit of persistent team loyalty. Great for Leon, with St George, but not so good for Kaye and Dan. The Queensland entries did not support the Broncos and conceded 2 points to Aldrin, Philip, and myself.

It's also good to hear that Joe, Louise, Rex, and Ted are recovering OK from their Covid episode.

Covid is obviously one of the dangers of having young ones at school.

Don’t forget this week’s games start on Thursday night (17/3/2022) with the game between the Storm and the Rabbitohs.

(also remember that its St Patrick’s Day)

 I am not sure if the ‘grens like to wear green like the ‘greens do 

on St Pats day.

The Roosters at home to the Sea Eagles will be interesting on Friday night. 

They are both licking their wounds from last week.

Also on Friday, the Dragons are at home against the Panthers. 

This will test Leon’s loyalty.

Mark Daniels (March Magic) as a  loyal Tigers fan? must have been a bit nervous when the Tigers were leading 14-4 well into the 2nd half. Will he return to the Tigers this week against the in-form knights?

Melbourne paid a high price for their win, however.

Christian Welch suffered a suspected torn Achilles and George Jennings potentially did his ACL in the Storm's come-from-behind victory against the Tigers. Bellamy believes both could now miss the remainder of the season if both injuries are as severe as first thought. 

To make matters worse, Brandon Smith also broke a bone in his hand just two minutes into the game .

NRL 1st Game of the Season

Hi to all family and friends!

As the 2021 Champion, I am feeling very confident that I can do it again in 2022.

Don't forget to send your fees to the lovely Louise, who as you probably know is still recovering from Covid after it came home from school with Rex.   He of course passed the covid ball to Ted who flicked it to mum & dad.

Since last year we have a possible new competitor ARYA who I am pleased to say is a Parramatta supporter (Parra 👋👋👋  Parra 👋👋👋   Parra 👋👋👋).

So the challenge is going out to Ivy & Felix to lift Dan's game.

Mark and Leon tried to catch me last year (as did Joe) but I think they got caught up with team loyalty. 

Mark followed the Tigers (They won 8 games & Lost 16 games, came 13th), and Leon, still living in the past, follows the dragons. (who won 8 games & Lost 16 games came 11th)   What chance did they have? I am not sure what Joe's excuse is?

I see that the Titans had a good season (Also a bit of bad luck with close games) so I will have to watch out for Kay & Dan. I am not sure if Tom is also a Titan hopeful?

I am still smarting from 2020 when Kay came through on the inside to blindside the leaders! 

Tom, Tom, Tom maybe it's time you used Owen's name to try to lift your game also.
